I am restoring a 47 Studebaker truck and I have reached the body work stage. I plan to strip the body to bare metal, perform the body work over the next year and paint it next summer. I only get to work on the vehicle a few hours each week so this is an extended process. I am concerned on how to protect the body at each stage even though it is in a garage. I live in Canada so the weather is not the best for this kind of activity.
Currently I am planning on using a chemical stripper since I only have a small media blaster. Assuming it takes me a few months to do the metal work how do I protect the metal after it is stripped. Once I get the metal work done how do I protect it if it takes a while to get to the filler stage. I want to make sure that I don’t do anything that will cause me issues later in the process.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
