I’ve rebuilt a 327 Chevy V8 for my current project, engine runs fine but after a few months it came time for the first oil change. When I pulled the drain plug, my catch basin ran over due to the increased volume of very thin oil with a strong gas smell.
Once the mess was cleaned up, I went looking for the problem. I replaced the fuel pump thinking perhaps I had a leak in the diaphram which allowed excess fuel to leak back to the pan, but the problem has persisted
Any thoughts on where I’m getting this much raw fuel into my oil supply before I ruin the engine
