“Treated surfaces (treated with Fast Etch) should be wiped with PRE Painting Prep (10041 Z) or thinner before priming and painting.”
[1]
“Prior to using Fast Etch make sure the surface is grease and oil free (PRE Painting Prep), knock off the loose rust and spray or wipe on the Fast Etch.” [2]
One states to use Pre-Paint-Prep before Fast Etch, and the other states the opposite. So which is the correct way? If the answer is Pre-paint-prep after Fast Etch, would it wipe away the desired phosphate coating left behind from Fast Etch?
