I have done a couple small projects with the Extreme Chassis Black Primer & Satin top coat (both using EW aerosol cans). On both projects, I REALLY liked the ease of application of the primer, but had struggles with consistency in the top coat. For large surface areas, I got an uneven finish, despite multiple coats (and cans) of this pricey paint. Most recently, the top of some brackets turned out very nicely, but slight amounts of overspray made the underside uneven looking, and rough to the touch.

That being said, the Extreme Chassis Black Primer had a nice even finish, and seems pretty durable. A few questions…

    • Is the primer UV-protected?
    • Has anyone left the primer as a top coat? If so, feedback?
    • Has anyone top-coated the Extreme Chassis Black Primer with Krylon? I have always been very pleased with the end result (looks) of Krylon paint, but just want something more durable overall.

    Suggestions? Feedback? Much appreciated.
    Craig
