The agitator on my upright vacuum cleaner just died and replacement parts are not available. On the other hand I have a benchtop blasting cabinet with no dust collector. I’m thinking of just cutting the handle off the vac and removing the base of the vac and just hooking the body of the vac to the blast cabinet. It already has a nice hose coming from the body? I was going to take it to the dump anyway and I still have bags left for it?

I know it will fill up fast and probably won’t last more than a year or two if I use it a lot but don’t have much to lose? Do you think it would work? Any reason not to try it for home use only. Probably only blast once a month or so.
