I see that Harbor Freight has an IR temp gun. The specs that they give (and I don’t even know if it goes hot enough for PC, but at least I know this much…) is that the gun is accurate to within 4 degrees F.

Is this accurate enough for powdercoating? I mean, if the powder is supposed to cure at 350, and I’m actually at 354, will I burn the finish? Or, if I’m sitting at 346, will I never achieve a good melt?
