I am about to restore my fenders and I was wondering about the toughest rust prevention possible. If I Cold Galvanize the underside of the fender, can I then cover that with rubberized undercoating? I know I may need to scuff the galvanizing a little, but will this work? The undercoating says it has good adhesion to metal and painted surfaces. Is it worth it to do both? I want this thing to outlast my great grandkids!
