I am restoring a 79 Ford F150 and have had to replace the drip rails. I found a sheet metal shop locally that went to great lengths to fabricate new drip rails for me, but they are galvanized. Before I spot weld these in – will I be able to coat these. I have spot coated the cab with Rust Encapsulator and plan on using Eastwood Epoxy Primer and Eastwood Base/Clear Urethane. I just want to make sure I don’t end up with drip rails peeling paint in 3 or 4 months.
Thanks,
