I have just watched the videos for body filler and found it very informative. However every time primer is discussed I don’t seem to get a full answer. I have a car to restore which has a fair amount of rust. My plan is to media blast it then make the necessary welding repairs. I really like the idea of using an epoxy primer as it will seal the surface and help prevent further rust. But I have found out I have a five day window to do any filler repairs etc, after that I would have to basically strip it and go again. This is a hobby for me and work would probably be carried out on weekends when I have the time so that isn’t going to work. I also like the idea of weld thru primer for obvious reasons but this isn’t compatible with epoxy primer. Can anyone give some advise as the best way to proceed.
