I just bought a new intercooler for my car. It is made of thin sheet metal and is powder coated silver (the only color they had available). I want to powder coat it yellow to match my car’s color scheme. So the questions I have are:
1. Can I powder coat over powder coating, and if so what prep should I do (like scuff it or what)?
2. If I must strip the powder coating, what’s the best way to do it? Blasting could distort this fairly thin part I am told.
3. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
