I’m new to powder coating.I’ve got to repair my ’70 cadillac bumper, and chrome plating is no in the budget right now. Big problem is the size of the bumber and the facilities to plate it. nI noticed 2 chrome powders on the EW site and was looking for opinions and maybe even a sample.

How chrome like are the EW or other chrome powders? Anone in Starkville, MS(Miss. State Univ)/Tuscaloosa, AL (Bama )are that might have a same of the finished probuct I could come see?

Wondering too about the cost. I’ll do the metal repair, and polishing. I know for plating a high shine polish is needed before plating. What finish should the metal have before powder coating? I’ll also buy the powder, so what shopuld it cost to coat and cure the bumper? It’ll probably take an IR cure, since most places won’t have an oven big enough.

    The bumber is roughly 12″ x 70″.
