The driver’s side hood hinge on my ’65 Bonneville broke. I got a replacement over the internet from a salvage yard. My question is whether I can remove the 2 bolts attaching the hinge to the firewall without having to get to the nuts on the other side. Does anyone know if these nuts are tack welded in there? If so the swap won’t be too bad. If they are loose I will likely have to get to the firewall from the inside way up under the dash or under the cowl which will be a much more difficult job. I would think that they are spot welder from an assembly line point of view. Thanks.
