As I work on my car, I’ve found rust under beads of existing body seam sealer — such as in the interior where the floor pan meets the kick panel area.
Removing the old body seam sealer is easy – it’s brittle and scrapes right off. The question is what to apply before brushable seam sealer. Is fast etch enough, or do I need a coat of something like rust encapsulator first? Would internal frame coating or heavy duty anti rust make sense?
