I am doing my best to restore a car and do ALL the work myself, so that I know how to do every step. I have always been told that sandblasting is the best way to remove all old paint, bondo, and rust. Then I was told to do the body work, patch paneling, etc. Finally Paint. Now I have just been told that I cannot put regular car body paint over sandblasted metal. 😮 They say it will have pits and ruin the paint job. I already bought a sand blaster and am set up to do the whole body. Now I am not sure what to do and don’t know where else to go! Will somebody please help?
