Just picked up my oven and I am debating on where to set up shop. I’m thinking about the basement because I have a workshop down there, it’s heated, and it won’t take up space from the garage. I also want to build the spray booth to handle painting as well (I do a little woodworking), so it would be convenient to have the oven nearby.

My question is, what kind of fumes does powder coating generate? Are we talking the smell of plastic baking or a strong chemical smell? What kind of ventilation would be required?

I found a nifty little DIY knock down spray booth that may show some promise with a little modification, what do you think?
