I know I know I really need to get an oven built for bigger parts.
I’m doing a project right now though and I don’t have time to build an oven so…
Trying to coat a transmission, had a hard time getting the surface up to over low 300 deg’s so I let the light bake it for quite some time. Now I’m letting it cool and it’s currently at 140deg. If I wipe with a paper towel nothing comes off, but if I put some brake clean on the powder wipes right off. Is this an undercure issue or could it be related to it not having cooled down yet?
I’m coating using a basic gloss black. I did an engine block (cast iron vs the aluminum trans) and that came out pretty decent. So I know the light can work.
