We have ten steel searchlight trailers on a launch pad on the Florida beach. They are rusting and upkeep has been relentless. We are planning a restoration and rust prevention plan of attach. Hopping for far better results as in the in the past. I am looking to chip away all the heavy scaling and blast the aftermath and the lighter rust. Next step will be spray and brush rust converter then spray rust encapsulator and final coat spray chassis black. Question is this the best method of three step products? If I can’t bake the paint application is what I’m doing senseless? The trailer dimond plate is walked on so the top coat must be durable. Is it recommended that I thin out the rust encapsulator and final coat of chassis black for out paint gun? What are the best practices of rust maintenance once the restorations are completed?
