What is a effective way to remove anodizing from an aluminum surface to prep for polishing?
I have applied “Easy Off” oven cleaner twice (applied at 45-50 degrees ambient), and the anodizing does not seem to be coming off. I have been allowing it to sit for no more than a minute The part is borderline quality and I really do not want to pay to have the anodizing stripped professionally.
The part is a rear panel for the trunk on a 67 Plymouth Belvedere, it is an extrude and there is a milky appearance to it.
