I just purchased 3 cans of Eastwoods BLOXIDE Rust Preventive Coating (Weldable Primer) the color is Aluminum. My question is, if this is a weldable primer I am supposed to clean the metal that I am going to weld and then spray this coating on. Then place the pieces togather to weld them an the heat will activate the coating to melt or run undeneath the hot panels and prevent rust from occuring. I have done this and the meg welds don’t seem to hold? Am I doing something wrong? or is this spray just to spray on the welds after the welds are complete .
