I’m finally getting started on the olds again after 25 yrs. I’m replacing panels and trying to get rid of the rust in the channels. I’m going to get the rust encapsulator and the rust convertor to put in the rusty channels that are under the removed panels When i do that can I spot weld thru the paints to the metal with out any problems? Or is there something else I should use to stop the rust and still be able to weld the panels to the channels? Also I’ve sand blasted the frame yrs ago and primed and painted with rustoleum which is chipping pretty easy. Can your extreme chassis paint be used over the rustoleum paint with out sanding or removeing the restoleum? for a more durable chassis coating?
