Here’s my 1st attempt at doing a piece in two colors.

It’s a milled aluminum paperweight done in Dark Green and Sungold Metallic.

My question is, what’s the best way to do something like this? I shot the green first (2 coats actually) and then masked off most of the piece before shooting the front with gold. I then tried brushing off the excess gold with a Q-tip before ditching that idea and using some wide tape to lift the gold off the surface.

Just wondering what the experts would have done.

    Thanks!
