Hey guys, a couple months ago I started my first ever project vehicle rebuild. I’m cutting my teeth on alot of new stuff and tackling things I’ve never done before. Here’s my question. I have a 1946 stepside ford f-1 pick up truck that I’m restoring and I want to give it a 9 inch to twelve inch suspension lift. It has leaf springs in the front and in the back. I’ve looked through alot of sights and youtube videos , asked alot of people in passing, if they had any ideas on how to do or and I’ve found nothing. My question is how do I find the right leaf springs, will I have to weld new spring hangers, what’s the math,if any on putting larger springs on and how will that affect my steering assembly, will I need to extend steering column and pitman arm? Has anyone ever done this or something similar to this year make and model or a similar vehicle, and if you guys are as stumped as me, can you point me in the right direction? Thank you, -micah
